Social contributions
Basic Concept
We are able to continue our business activities supported by the local community. We value our ties with the local community through childcare support, scholarship support for students, and various other business and social contribution activities. Recognizing that we are a member of society, we will strive to develop together.
Representative Efforts
In Akaiwa City, Okayama Prefecture, where many employees work, we have an in-house nursery school, Nobi Nobizo-san Nursery School. Children of employees as well as children of local residents can enter the school to support raising children of the community.

for University students
In order to support students who will be responsible for the future of Uchiyama Industries, we provide scholarships for university students. By joining Uchiyama Industries, we are supporting students with a number of plans, including exempting the obligation to pay back the loan amount, and supplying half of the amount of monthly payments, depending on the conditions, to the end of the period.

Sponsorship
As a main sponsor of the Okayama University team participating in the All-Japan Student Formular Convention, we are providing activity funding, parts preparation, and comments on regular activity reports. In addition, test courses are laid in the parking lot of the laboratory, and on holidays they are lent out for the acquisition of vehicle running data. ※The All-Japan Student Formula Convention is a competition in which students plan, design, manufacture, a race car to compete with each other as a "practical student education program through monozukuri." Students compete not only with driving performance but also with the overall strength of monozukuri such as sales concepts and profitability.

Implementation
We provide 1Day work experience and acceptance of long-term internships for university students. The 1Day work experience program is a hands-on experience that allows students to choose a field that interests them, and to develop work experience. The long-term internships provide students with a period of two to three months to learn skills and to learn about the company.

for local consumption Efforts
The Uchiyama Group's kibi foods utilizes the rich nature of Yoshibi Chuo-cho, Okayama Prefecture, to provide a variety of agricultural crops, including wines, rice, blueberries, and satomi. Completed in 2020 by a kibi VALLEY that covers everything from the cultivation of grapes, to brewing. The brewed "kibi Wine" is being used for local production for local consumption. The wine is used as a return for the Furusa and taxation at the roadside of Yoshibi Chuo-cho, and it is sold at supermarkets and department stores in Okayama Prefecture.

We are planning events and workshops using cork materials. Cork is a sustainable material that has no impact on the environment. Through events and workshops, we are working to convey the appeal of cork and make people feel closer to it.

To contribute to the local community, we regularly clean up the area around employee domitries, the area around Uchiyama Industrial Headquarters, and the organizations in charge of the area. In addition to supporting the creation of clean, trash-free cities, we also place importance on building good relationships with local residents.
