"What is cork all about?"
Coru-kun and Coru-tan asked to Papa.
"Cork is ..... well, er er er...."
"Cork is cork, isn't it? Oh, this isn't an answer. In fact, I don't know so much about it."
Coru-kun, Coru-tan, and Papa have decided to hear about something on cork from Coru-granpa who knows cork well. |

Consisting of independent, tetradecahedron cells of 20~40 millions per cm3, cork has myriad excellent properties that cannot be produced using chemical products.
This material alone owns fantastic characteristics, such as compressibility, recoverability, non-permeability, low bulk specific gravity(light weight), adiabatic capacity, damping capacity, high abrasion coefficient, and sound absorption.
Uchiyama creates new flooring material by using and exploring thecharacteristics of this "cork."
